Haloween sneaks?

I am coming to Salou on Saturday this weekend and will be going to Portaventura on Sunday.

Has anyone seen any of the Haloween changes, heard about any haloween rides, or anything like this?

It would be great to hear from any of you in the know.

Halloween event starts next Saturday, 27 September; so you'll enjoy a terrifying experience at PortAventura !

As mentoined in this forums, this year It'll remain the same rides and shows from the previous year, even this year you'll find some rides closed due to maintenance ( Sea Odyssey & Water rides: Tutuki Splash, Grand Canyon rapids and Silver River Flume) or maybe due to the economical crisis moment in PortAventura.

In Halloween event you'll find all park themed with scary stuff, especial halloween shows that you cannot forget seeing; and two hauted houses, actually I think the best rides on Halloween at PortAventura.
The first one placed near Stampida, is the newest. And the other one take place on El Diablo, Mine Train; which involves you in a terryfiying deserted and old Mine shaft, full of strange human and non-human beings.

This is a summarized idea of halloween event. If do you need some more information or explanations, please post here, and we'll answer all your questions.
How many days will you stay there?

Thanks for all the information!

We are just staying Saturday until Tuesday. However, I think it will be my 25th visit to the park.
We tend to come every year, once in the summer, and once in the wnter, so I have seen Portaventura do Christmas before, but never Haloween. We are very excited in coming! I only hope that the weather stays good for Sunday as this will be the day we visit the park.

It would be good to se El Diablo (tren de la mina?) dressed up for the occasion. I think I will ride it in the dark to get the full effects!

Stampida at night is excellent. I have ridden it when the fireworks go off at Christmas and the view is excellent!

I have to say that my last visit to Prtaventura was bad, Stampida, Dragon Khan, Hurrakan Kondor, Furious Baco, and others were all out of service. I have emailed Portaventura to complain, and have complained through their website but have never heard back from them. How strange.

I hope that they are better this year, but would like to hear their thoughts about my email.

Is there anyother way of contacting them?

Unfortunately if you've used e-mail in order to contact them, propably you'll not get any answer.

I think the most effective way to complain is going to visitors attention. There you can make a complaint, or ask for complaints book and probably they'll give you free tickets from your next visit.

Perhaps now it is too late, but you can try calling at 902 20 22 20 (free number)

So... here is my story

Got to Portaventura on Sunday 28th September, very hot sunshine and a lovely day. I arrived at 12pm as I knew the park was open till 9pm.

I have been many times to Portaventura but have never been whilst it has been Haloween, and I have to say that they have done very well with many things. The entrance area was well decorated with birds, skeletons etc, the Old West looked amazing and was dressed well with cobwebs, pumpkins, birds, skeletons, spiders, and scary people walking around.

They changed the Saloon bar show to be a vamvpire theme, and the dancers were still very pretty! The show was good. They also had 2 other walk through scary houses, one next to Stampida -which was great with the floor changing often, and the characters being menacing and scary. It was much better than I had anticipated. The other was on Train de la mina - and was also brilliant. This one had far more people jumping out at you and was darker! I was very impressed with all of the effort that they put into it all.

On top of this, the rides were all working, the ques were short, and the weather was fantastic...

BUT...

How expensive has Portaventura become?
The shops are so expensive it is untrue, £60 for a cuddly toy, £20 for a jumper, £10 for a burger and chips! terrible!

and the worst thing...
We were finished in the park by about 7.30pm but wanted to see the Haloween Spectacular... as the Christmas and Fiestaventura shows have always been brilliant.
So we sat at the end of the boat trying to keep ourselves warm by buying coffee's and waffles and chips and hot chocolate (as we couldnt afford anything warm to wear from the shop as it is so expensive!) and waited for 2 hours for th show at 9.30. The show lasted literally 6 minutes, and was mainly projecting video onto water mist, and dancing water jets, with not many fireworks.

When it ended I felt so cheated it was untrue.
Since Portaventura hasnt been Universal it seems to have put up prices and cut costs emensley.

I am dissapointed again and will be writing to them to let them know my thoughts.

My suggestion would be to go on a day that the show starts earlier, so you dont get stung trying to keep warm or having to wait around for it.

All those that go will enjoy it, but save up lots of money before going !!

I'm glad you liked this. As I said, this is my favourite festivity in PA. And I hope you think so, as well.

You are so lucky! Afortunately It didn't rain, though Friday rained a lot and Saturday It was almost raining.
Did you enjoy the sacry houses? They're the star rides in Halloween!
You haven't mentioned "Selva del Miedo". The biggest outdoor walk through scary ride! It starts at 20H on Sundays. This scary ride happens through Polynesia and there are plenty of terrifying actors.


It really upsets me you feel disgusting, so the night show "Teror en el lago" is really bad in comparison with Fiestaventura. I never remain in the park until closing time in Halloween to see the night show, I prefer going to "Selva del Miedo" (the Polynesian night scary walk through)

I agree with you, PortAventura is too expensive! Actually years ago It wasn't as expensive as nowadays. The prices have raised in price excessively.
Nowadays it's frequent to see people with homemade sandwiches even this goes against Park rules.

And if you're not satisfyied whit the treatment you've to make a disagreement complaint, of course!

I expect all this "bad things" have been used to improve your next visit to PA.
