new to spain and portaventura

Hello ,I am taking my 2 teenage children to portaventura on 14 may to the 28th of May .I am a lone parent we're staying at saluris palace hotel .If anyone can tell me anything about the things to do arround there and the portaventura park I'd welcome it .I'm a bit nervous about it all what with being on my own .

Is there things to do at night for us all ?

Whats the weather like at the moment ?
Is food expensive in the park ?
also will the fireworks shows be on I've been told they are excellant .

How old are you're children?
Salou it's a sunny place to go. With long beaches, and port aventura park and caribe acuatic park. There are a lot of places to go fron salou . I recommend you to visit Barcelona, and Tarragona romanic museums.

my children are son 15 and daughter 13 so will need to amuse us all .I am concerned that I'll be left on my own once they get used to the place ...

I'm sure if you let them lead the way and you just follow and go on the rides etc. Or suggest a meet up point so you can have some chill out time. It should be fine, no?

Looking at the weather in Salou (as I am English) it seems to be about 18degrees. With rain expected for most of this week.

Yes, the fireworks shows are on every Saturday at 11.45pm (park close: 12pm midnight). I think.
