People who know me might remember that I once made Disneyland Paris’ Phantom Manor for the game Soldier of Fortune 2. I worked on several versions and that took me almost 2 years. I’ve never released the map because it was too complex (almost 200 MB).
Now I’m starting with a new project and this time I’m going to try to re-create Port Aventura’s Templo Del Fuego in Soldier of Fortune 2. I can’t tell much about the fire effects yet, because I’m not sure how the game handles fire.
Right now I’m going for a re-creation of the inside of the ride. If everything goes according to plan I will also expand my map with the queue area outside the ride. But for now only the inside of the ride is all what counts (pre-show & main show).
Here are some screens from my work so far and of course it’s FAR from finished. The game is a little bit dated and so are the graphics, but the SoF2 level editor is very user friendly and of course I have enough experience with it.
I will keep you updated in this topic about the progress of my little project.

mmmm.... estas desarrollando un juego basado en TDF? (are you create a game based od tdf?) suena bien (sounds cool) pero esto no va a international board? moveldo, que nos liamos :dedo
It looks good. What tipe of program is Soldier of Fortune? :pensativo
If you want to recreate exactly the show, you must use fire, water, light, and other effects, is a lot of work!
Are you working in pre-show? Is a very important part of the show!
Soldier of Fortune 2 is a multiplayer shooter game and when this map is finished you can play online against each other in my virtual Templo Del Fuego . I will add some fire but not the entire show because that causes problems when you play online (lag).
First I will make the pre-show and the main show. When that is done I might make the outside as well. I will all keep you updated in this topic.
Wow! You're doing an amazing work man!. You creation looks really accurate with the real one. in addition, i think as a map, it would be quite funny : It have some places you can hide
Keep doing this amazing work... i think im going to get this game only to see your map lol
La firma que desapareció, reapareció por arte de magia
Right now I’m working on the ride’s control room. I kept this room pretty small and I decorated it with the help of my own imagination because I only saw 1 or 2 pictures of the actual control room.
I am going to decorate this room with custom textures and I’m going to decorate the walls with park maps, concept art of TdF and some framed pictures I made of TdF. It would be VERY helpful if someone has pictures of the real control room.
the first teaser screenshot of the control room.
I also made the big pillars on the water. As you know, in the ride there is only one pillar that lowers into the water. To make it more challenging all the pillars lower in the water in my map . So if you are not fast enough, you are not keeping it dry .
Always wondered how deep the pit is?
Poor Paulo ….
After the weekend I am going to focus more on the main show, because there is still a lot of work to do. I hope to start on the preshow by the end of next week!
It almost took me the entire evening but I finally finished the walls that are connected with the templo’s skull. I also made the 4 little treasure chambers (only the treasure is still missing in my map).
I also found out that SoF 2 has plenty of fire effects. I’m still testing with the amount of fire, because I don’t want to have any FPS problems and I know that to much effects can slow the game down tremendously.
I still can use help with my map. If there are people who can make 3D models they are more then welcome! It would be so cool if I can add those caskets popping out of the water to my map!
Here are the latest pictures and I hope you all like what I am doing!
Good work! I think i know you from TVP;).
