Height restriction on El Tifon

Hi,

Staying at El Paso from tomorrow evening until Saturday.

Our son is very happy in water (he often jumps from the 5 metre board at his diving lessons and can easily swim 25 metres) but he is about 5cm below the height limit on El Tifon. How strongly are the height limits enforced as it appears to be the only main water ride open at this time of year and we are unsure if we will go the the Caribe Aquatic park if he will not be able to go on it?

The height restriction for El Tifon is minimum 1,20 meters. I recomend to follow the height restricions for your security.

I would not worry about his safety at all as the lifeguards that know him at the local pool let him go down the flume that he is really 2 years too young for according to the rules. What I worry about is the amount of moaning that's going to happen if he can't go down the flume!!

Guess we will find out soon, thank's anyway.

As a follow up...

Had a good few days, queues where very short every day till saturday when it was very busy so we went to the beach.

Did not realise how dark el tifon was so in the end decided not to see if they would let our son go down it. Having said that he enjoyed the haunted house at el paso and survived the halloween area before the el diablo ride so maybe we should have done.

In the main park bit dissapointed that the flume ride was out of action (which appears to be fairly long tem given the leaves in the channels) as not that many big rides he could go on.

Will probably go back next year when he is over 1.2m and can do both the splash ride and stampeda (and hopefully the flume is fixed!).

Next year you must visit PortAventura from april to september, Silver River Flume only opens from april to september (aproximatte).

The sign on the flume ride said closed because of technical problems. If its a planned closure then they could be honest and say so.

Anyway next time we do plan to probably come back in September as we would like to try the outside area of the water park.

Yes, the sign of Technical Problems is false. Every year Silver River Flume only opens from april to september.
