My experience at [PortAventura World] today!

Mensaje por Scott105 »

The park filled up fairly quickly after it's 10:30 am opening today.

My first ride of the day today was [Shambhala], honestly 10/10 coaster. I managed to get into its second ride of the morning, but it was still incredible.

Silk smooth and quite forceful at times. I genuinely wasn't expecting the ejector airtime at the midcourse brake run, and it was quite exciting.

The tunnel right at the bottom of the lifthill also does a beautiful almost whistle like noise when the train passes through it.

The helix right at the end was quite fun as the train was almost stopped and it surprised eveyone in the train.

Next ride was [Dragon Khan]. I'd give it a 9.4/10. Very forceful and with a lot of vertical Gs during most of it, which was fun.

I was a bit disappointed by the fake corkscrew, as it's divided during two parts of the ride, but when you're going into it, it seems like it'll be a continuous corkscrew.

The worst, but not too bad thing, was how I had my head smashed into the over the shoulder restraints a couple of times in some parts, which made my head hurt a little when I got off.

Afterwards I headed to the Mexican area where I rode [Diablo Tren De La Mina]. 6/10 coaster. It's an old arrow dynamics mine train coaster. At the start right in the station you start by a little drop which accelerates the train quite a distance into the first lifthill.

The lifthill was very, bumpy (?), constantly moving up and down.

The layout until the second lifthill wasn't too memorable and I don't really remember it, but I do remember it being very forceful in lateral G, which by the end made my neck soup.

The second lifthill was much like the first, but quite more noisy.

The layout until the third lifthill is the same as the first, non memorable but forceful.

After the third lifthill (which was the best of them) you decend down a helix which goes into a tunnel and then passes by a smashed sign which makes a nice head-chopper and into a tunnel which leads to the station.

I genuinely felt beaten up when I got off the ride. My neck hurt from the lateral Gs.

The THREE lifthills also really hurt the flow of the ride.

Just a forgettable ride that leaves you with a neck and head pain.

Then I though it'd be fun to go to [Stampida] next.

It wasn't, it honestly really wasn't.

Constant rattle and really sharp turns to worsen my neck pain.

The rattle after turns also hurt my back, which wasn't fun at all.

The most fun parts where the airtimes and when it passed through wooden supports.

A 7.2/10 ride at most. It was fun but painful. (Also my train lost).

Next up I was going to [Furius Baco], but as a good hydraulic launch coaster it is it didn't operate all morning, and in the afternoon I didn't quite feel like going in it.

As it was already midday I went to eat at the restaurant at the border of the far west area.

Themeing was great, food was great. The only bad thing was that I saw a scout ant crawling by the window.

Afterwards I went to the hotel where I rested up until 5pm.

In the afternoon I rode the 4 water rides in the park, but as this is a roller-coaster subreddit I won't be talking about it, they where fun though.

So that was it for the day. The park remained crowded for the entire day, but it wasn't much of an annoyance.
